Intro
So I kinda travel for a living. And some years ago I took to photographing doors when out on my walks--first interesting ones and then pretty much anything that caught my eye.
I'm not a photographer; I tend to snap pictures so I can jog my memory later and relive an experience. But as these pictures began to accumulate I saw that the collection became something much more than any of its individual parts.
So I've decided to collect them here. I'll try to mention where they were taken (and when) and list any fun facts I can think of. And I may occasionally toss in a non-portal picture if the spirit moves me. Virtually all these pictures were taken with the iPhone that lives in my pocket, beginning with the second generation (3G) and upgrading year-by-year to the current 7 Plus. Unless otherwise noted, there is no processing or filtering on any of these.
